I hadn't checked them out since they moved around the corner, but yesterday a friend suggested it and I was impressed. There's a bigger selection to choose from (compared to what I remember) and you can also build your own bowl from scratch. The açaí bowl was delicious with numerous technicolor layers of things I couldn't identify: pitaya, coconut beach, blue chia pudding? But it was as colorful as it was tasty. It made me think of a delectable bowl of rainbow unicorn poop -- in the good sense. I am not a fan of kiosk ordering, (OK Boomer) but I can see how it keeps costs down. And - not fast food! I don't know all it takes to build a bowl but you have to wait. There's more orders in the queue than what you see represented by people in the place, they do a lot of online business as well. But overall, we need more açaí around, and Palmetto does a lovely job.
Ya know it's not the BEST acai bowl I've had in my entire life. But there is a huge menu with lots of options! And $9 for a small with unlimited toppings is a good deal in the city! The acai base doesn't have a lot of flavor but I'm here for alllll the toppings hehe
Love the acai bowls here! The portions are big and they have an amazing menu. I got the palm mix and it had everything I was looking for. The toppings were fresh and crunch. I also asked for honey as a topping. The staff was so sweet and they made everything so pretty and yummy.
First time coming to this location as I've gone to the one in Burlingame few times. I tend to go to the Burlingame location since it's easier to find parking over there vs the city + meter is expensive lol. I was immediately greeted by the staffs and they were super sweet. You can order on the screen/front cashier and I always went with ordering a custom Açaí bowl. The nice thing about custom is you really can put unlimited toppings! How awesome is that seriously. I usually load it up with different seeds and fruits! Overall this place has one of the best acai bowls in the Bay Area and I'm glad they have multiple locations!
Swung by at 11am on farmers markets Sunday! Surprisingly no line! A few small seating areas inside, or you can eat your sweet treat on the curb. Portions are large and recommend sharing the medium size for 2-3 people. My friend and I weren't able to finish surprisingly. Would come again! Love an açaí place.
One of the best acai places in the city; however, it does take quite a bit of time to get your order, especially when it's busy (it took about 30min to get my bowl even on a non-busy day). Therefore, I recommend ordering beforehand. You can order via app or online to expedite the process, or order at the front at their kiosk. They don't take cash. I liked the Bay bowl the best. Smooth yet crunchy, cool and refreshing, it's the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. They also pile on the toppings and make it look quite appealing, so I appreciate the presentation. Prices are fair and personally, I think the medium size is more than enough for anyone, although the Large can be a full meal on its own. There's a small back area for sitting and eating indoors (and a bathroom), as well as a few entrance benches to sit and wait for your bowl. I just wish the bowls came out a bit quicker.
The food here is very healthy lots of fruits. I do the Warriors blend which comes with mango granola, honey and other fruits. Service here is amazing. Staff here is very friendly feels like you're almost in the tropical islands very clean staff. Here is very nice.
Yum! This is definitely the spot to come for açaí in SF! You can chose from quite a large selection of bases, açaí, pitaya, coconut, chia pudding, and mango just to name a few. And the from the bases I've tried, acai, pitaya, and mango the texture is creamy and smooth not an ice particle in sight. I always opt for building your own bowl, customizing which fruits and toppings I want. I especially love getting cacao nibs and the coconut condensed milk. These bowls are filling and not too steeply priced. Will be back for more refreshing bite!
I'm born and raised in Hawaii and never had an açaí bowl since I moved to SF . We just finished a short hike and decided to get something refreshing. My friend recommended ordering several bases . I was skeptical at first since the OG açaí bowl was only one base . Trusting my friend , I ordered five bases : palmetto açaí , pitaya dragon fruit , tropical spiralina , passionate mango, and matchacado 2.0 with most of the toppings . It was a beast to finish . From start to finish , it was super refreshing and sugary for sure. . As you dig through each layer , you can taste the uniqueness of each base. Tropical spiralina and palmetto açaí was my favorite . I would definitely order more than one base . Service was quick . They had little chairs for people to sit down to eat . Street parking was easy to find on a Sunday . This is a great place to stop by after a run or have a need for to recharge .
